whitetail hunt

Post by pinebrookkennel » Wed Oct 19, 2011 7:39 am

How's everyones deer hunting season going.
I know this is a gundog fourm but people hunt a wide varitey of game. As far as hunting lies go I have a nice
Little story. Sunday was my youngest sons 8th b-day and he asked if we could go bow hunting that day. Sure I
said we can go set in the blind, so Sunday its raining all morning soaking all my hunting gear :?. Ok were still
going out only in and a old sweat shirt and jeans. Not thinking we will see anything I was half sleeping
In the blind while my boy was blowing on the grunt call every thirty seconds. Well wouldn't you know a nice
buck walks in @ twenty yards stands broadside just beggin to be shot. My son and I harvested a nice ohio whitetail
on his birthday and he will now be a hunter for life.

Super!

You might want to size down your photos a bit. I can't see anything other than a part of an ear!

Excellent!! Our kids have hunted with us since the age of two weeks old. We'd switch off carrying either kid in the front carrier, or gun with the dog. Being able to make a bit of noise either with a grunt call for deer, or turkey call for turkeys, allows the kid to fidget with a purpose, and makes them a true parts of the hunt. You now have a hunting partner for life! Ours are 20 and 23, and still come 'up north' to hunt with us. :D
