UK Pheasant season opener

Post by Dave C » Thu Nov 01, 2012 3:49 pm

My Pheasant season started Saturday gone with a walked up Hunt with my pals in our syndicate.
We rent 3,500 acres from a large shooting estate.

Woke up to a covering of snow and a Truck with a flat battery
And i needed to be there early to finish a few last minute jobs off
We have put alot of work into keeping the birds on our ground and today it was hopefully going to pay off.

The day started with a Duck drive which went very well and then the rest of the day was just text book.

thats awsome! Did i see some woodcock mixed in the bag?

Jim
A limit on the strap is nice, but the kill has nothing to do with tradition.

Wow fantastic!!! Snow on the ground already and a jolly mixed bag.

Does look like some woodcock mixed in there.

Looks like a great hunt! Dave, what is the little tri-colored dog laying under the tail gate?

Thanks guys, the Terrier is a little Parsons Jack Russell coop.
There was 4 Snipe and a Woodcock shot, along with Pheasants, Duck, Partridge and Hares.
I love a mixed bag.

Dave.
