Anyone know if there are birds down there this year? I have access to a lot of ground west of town about 10 miles but not sure if the 8 hour trip is worth it.
Thanks

Interested in this as well, but I'm looking at a 12hr trip...

Sanderson has some of the best people on the globe. I have never owned a dog tough enough to let out of the box in the area of Sanderson. I did enjoy a meal of blues on several occassions.

Blue quail need alot of pressure before they will fly, and they start running when they see you coming through the gate. There are some who hunt Blues with a dog, but I have always used the run and gun method.cbump wrote:I don't get it.

Oh I see. I have like 3 days after Thanksgiving. Should I hit SD for pheasant instead?
