What do you guys do when archery or rifle is in for deer? Do you still hunt in archery but not rifle?

Wear orange and maybe use a bell. Why not?

Archery season I say no problem. I would never think about hunting max during regular firearm deer season here in NY I am kind of nervous about the new crossbow season NY will have this year. I have never had issue with an archer.
Re: grouse hunting during deer season
I hunt southern and northern teir of ny for grouse and woodcock during bow, muzzleloader and rifle seasons including opening weekends and thanksgiving weekend on state land. I do this with wide ranging english pointers that wear orange collars and a bell. I just don't hit a covert that has a vehicle in it just the same during bird season. Sometimes there is a hunter parked elsewhere that is in there too but I have never had a problem regardless. I also spey cast when surrounded by gear guys too, but that's another story. If its legal do it, in ny it's illegal to shoot domestic dogs/cats so I know I'm in the right 100%.
Re: grouse hunting during deer season
If i remember correctly, grouse will not be in during firearms deer in PA. But even if it is, just wear orange and avoid an area if you know a hunter is already there. Just use common courtesy but dont avoid hunting because deer season is in. Before i bird hunted, i had plenty of gundoggers come through my area while bow hunting. Usually didnt even see me but if they did they would turn around. Sometimes they didnt, but thats the way it goes on public land.
