Couple of pictures of my male brittany Maverick...
This is the male I got out of Kninebirddog's kennel a few years ago.
In the first picture he is honouring my female Dixie. It was there first hunt together, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for the rest of the day.

I love those pics. The intensity. Dad always said the good lord gave us each a gift, sure is apparent in them thar dogs what theirs is. That is why I hunt, not so much to kill, I can go to the store for food, no, it is for the dog work. To see the point, the flush and retrieve, the happy look in the dogs eye whgen you say good boy and give him a pat on the head. Then off to find another, that is it in a nutshell for me.

Lately I also find myself watching my brother, he lived in Cali for 15 years and didnt hunt, so I like t osee him get a bird. He got his first limit this year over my dogs, sure made me feel good that day. That is also why I do it, and lets not forget the youngins, nephew i started out at 8 just got out of Marine boot camp, a gentleman, well mannered, polite and strong as a bull. Hunting sure made him into a fine young man.

I just hate when dogs point with their tails and heads down like that. So hard to tell if they are pointing or just sleeping. Which one is backing?

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
