MI Pheasant Hunt
MI Pheasant Hunt
just got back from a pheasant hunt in dundee,mi, went to a place called sexy pheasant farm. (pheasantpreserve.com) we had an awesome time, i shouldve brought a second dog sine we worked a 160ac field with three guys and my 10mo gsp. the guy that runs the place gave us an awesome deal since preserve hunts end in mi tommorrow, $10/bird we got 30 on sat and 21 on sunday, I had to buy a bigger cooler to get all that meat home. the place was very nice and people were great. gypsy worked here butt off and was holding so steady i was actually giving her the command to flush instead of doing it myself, hope i didn't mess her up for gspca nationals in wi this weekend.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Re: MI Pheasant Hunt
I know a couple of guys who have trained their dog to flush on command. PRetty nice if a bird gets into a funky spot and you can't get into the cover for the flush yourself.
Never thought how it might affect a trial dog though!
