Upper Michgan

I saw the thread about hunting around Crystal Falls and got to thinking. I live in the U.P. and have been lucky enough to spend lots of time hunting and fishing. I guess I just didn't know there were that many people traveling here to hunt birds. We do see alot of people around for deer season. How many of you come to upper Michigan to hunt and where do you go when you do? I'm new at bird hunting with dogs, just starting to train my brittanys and would enjoy hearing from others in the area or that come to the area.

My sister lived up there while she went to Lake State. I always wanted to go and hunt while she was up there, but never did.

I here the grouse are good up there in spots???

I have hunted and fished near Germfask back when I was in college.

Back then the grouse hunting was great. I assumed it is still pretty good based on who goes where and stories I have read.

Don't go there anymore since i live in Wisconsin, there is no need to go that far North.
