1st hunt of the season

Post by Bigsur009 » Fri Oct 17, 2008 1:32 pm

Thought I'd share some pics we took on Monday of Frank's first hunt of his second season. Unfortunately I haven't been able to work with him as much as I'd like due to my work schedule, so he was pretty rusty early (for some reason the Navy thinks it has precedence over dog training!). After busting 2 of his first 3 points, he settled in a remembered he wouldn't hear any shooting until he let ME do the flushing!

Anyway, we killed our limit of quail and Frank found 1 covey of wild birds, which around here is a big event. All in all, a good federal holiday spent in the field...

BigSur,
good to hear about the hunt. I think that almost all employers think that they have precedence over our bird dogs.

Wild covey of quail is something to get excited about around here.

Red boxes here too. Another member uses Snapfish and had that problem once too, and couldn't figure out how to fix it. I did figure out a way to view 'em, and if I had the time could take them to Photobucket (only photo server I'm familiar with) and post them for you. Anyway, if you want to see them, you can right-click-copy them with your mouse........and then right-click-paste them into an email draft or blank document page. Only takes a minute to do all 3.

Frank looks good......really fit and nice points. Denise

Thanks so much for putting those up for me. Not sure what's wrong with snapfish, but I'll set up a photobucket account for next time. Sorry for the confusion, but thanks again.
