Re: Idaho Chukar Guide?
What kinda of chukar hunting experience are you looking for? Where ya coming from?
Re: Idaho Chukar Guide?
Coming from Ohio. We are not looking for anything fancy, meet in the morning, take us out hunting, go back to the motel or what ever accommodations we can find at night. Looking for someone to take us out and show us how to do it so we do not drive all the way out there for nothing. Thanks.

Re: Idaho Chukar Guide?
reedne, To my knowledge there are no outfitter and guides for upland bird hunting on public lands here in Idaho. Most chukars are found on public lands administered by the US Forest Service(FS) and Bureau of Land Management (BLM). But if you stop in at any of their offices they would help you with maps and access questions. Idaho Fish and Game gives chukar count information every fall on their website. I would suggest you look at the southern part of the state and the area around Lewiston in the middle of the state because these are the areas with the best access. The Salmon and Hells Canyon areas have alot of birds but access other than by boat is very limited.

Advertised and guide licensed Eastern WA, but basically Idaho is just on the other side of the river.
