A few pics from KS
Decide to play hookey today, and tomorrow for that matter and go hunting. We did real well again getting lots of action and me actually shooting straight for the second trip in a row and I actually doubled on roosters (I'm due for a slump anytime). The dogs did well again, Gunner especially well again as I harvested 3 out of the 5 (4 roosters one quail) over his points. Here are a few pics from today
Is it wrong to pray for a rooster?
Streeeeetttcchh! Got a nice old rooster on this one.
One lonely quail under a tree.
A pair o birds.
Scout finally got em.
Scout trying to steal a point from Gunner. Gotta put those pups in their place ya know.
Last one for a limit!
Another great day, and I hope for 3 more!

There are some spots around Wichita I go for quail, and a buddy has some land up your way with quail and some phez, but the bird #'s are much better west.good lookin pups you got there. where do you hunt around wichita? i guide in newton and white water.

A few more pics from Friday and Saturday.
My buddy moving in on a point.
Got one pinned on the edge.
Hurry up, dang it. Ain't no birds here...
Gratuitious A$$ shot. There is a hen up in the milo he's pointing.
My buddy, his Brit and the 2 day bag.
A great couple days. Friday was tough when the winds came up (25-30 mph), but Saturday was outstanding and on eof those days I'll remember for a long, long time. Good dogs, good friends, and a great time.

Shhhh, don't tell him every dog does't have to do this. Headin up to ND this week, and hoping to get a sharpie over a point from him, no small task considering the season. That would be 4 species for a 18 month old pup in a year. I hope you come out and we can do the grasslands trip and add a scalie to make it 5 species. That's a good start to a pup don't ya think?
