Have you FF'd Wyatt? My dog will not retrieve to hand, He will pick it up, run with it for a little bit, then drop it and mouth it. I have to ignore him and walk away, then catch him when he runs past just to get the bird.

The only retrieving training he had was at 3 months old. A bumper was tossed into a body of water (lake) and he would retrieve it to hand. He has a very strong natural retrieving instinct.
