This picture was taken at end of a good afternoon hunt in Kansas this past November. It was taken right at dusk so it is a little dark.

This is Molly last year in ND. I ran her braced with her sister Carmen, and baged a limit of huns and a pheasant. The pups were five months old at the time. I saved one of the huns to get mounted as it was quite a memorable hunt with the pupies pointing and backing .

Awesome pictures! Can't wait to have a big dog family of my own. Right now I have my lab and a lab/border collie cross, who could be a good hunter. It will just be weird to see a black and white collie in the feild!

This is one of the few pics I have with both dogs. I'd been hunting the pup alone most of the season.

Here are a few pictures of Volt and a friend pheasant hunting this past fall. This is not a planted bird and since Volt was rock solid and my friend was in the ready position, I shot these pictures before I went in to flush. The bird busted out of there alright but darn, it was a hen.

Sounds like my hunt last saturday, took a nephew out, my 9 month old pup pointed 13 hens :) one after the other, then when we get back to the truck, she goes on point one last time, wouldnt ya know it was a rooster and the young lad missed.. It sure gets the blood pumping when she goes on point tho. Good hunting to you all.

Hey Mark, how about some pictures of your dogs on point? I sure would like to see them. We are lucky to see one bird in a hunt let alone 13. Maybe I need to get out there with my camera? I'ts been said I am pretty good . :)

The birds have been pushed to the heavy stuff and are sitting pretty tight which makes for nice picture taking.
You have to litterly kick them out to flush.
Dumb birds! They don't even realize they can't hide from the pro with the super sniffer.

Thunderhead,

In that case I will start my 3 mile nightly walking regimen this weekend. I think I should be ready by next year. Just pack a lunch because I already know where we need to go.

Boys, these some of the most knock-dead, neat pictures I have ever seen.

Never have I seen so many great pictures of dogs doing what they love...it's great.

coveyrise64,

My mission next year, is to bag one of those elusive blue quail. Bring good walking shoes!

Thunderhead,

From the looks of things out west they are on the verge of extinction. But from your perspective at least on the endangered species list. As soon as I get a picture of my blue quail mounts I will send to you so you can see what they look like. Looks pretty neat.
