A cold day at the hunt club. Newton, Utah.

Post by 12 Volt Man » Sat Feb 18, 2006 9:35 pm

Got together with Addict and Critter Control for a trip to a hunt club in Newton, Utah. After a pretty mild winter we got quite a bit of snow in the past few days. It was COLD!. When I got home I checked weather.com and it said 17 degrees for Newton. Plus the wind blew most of the time. We still had a great time. Took plenty of pics. I had issues with the camera settings, they came out real dark. I was able to get a little help from photoshop. One day I'll get that camera figured out.

We witnessed some nice dogwork. It was good to get out again.

CC and Addict tromp through snow as Gur runs buy.

This one ended up kind of cool, I didn't edit out the background that is the sky. If only that bird could have had some tail feathers. Sometimes that is what you get with pen raised birds.

Addict's dog Lady. Or should I say.... Look. A "bearded Lady".

I tried to get "artsy" with this one. I thought this was going to be a really cool picture. The birds in the middle turned out really out of focus. So I tried something creative.

I don't think I got a picture of my ONPOINT plate for the forum yet.

Yes, Gur was there too. Didn't end up with any pictures of her that were decent. She was all covered in burs at the end of the day when we did the traditional "posed" pics. We'll get some good ones of Gur next time. Sorry Caleb!

It was a good time for all! I was happy with how well the dogs did. Hopefully we can squeeze in another hunt before the march 31st season is over.

Thanks for taking pictures 12 and CC. Need to get myself a camera soon.

Did the backing photo's turn out?

Great pictures! When I looked at the picture of Cooper on the back of your truck, I thought you stole my dog! It's no wonder, after checking his pedigree next to Rocky's, they both have Strike 5 times and Snakefoot 2 times with a nice dose of McGoo... 8)
