Game On

Post by Coldwater » Mon Jan 17, 2011 8:04 pm

Today was a day that makes you say WOW, Akoda's chukar light came on big time. She was sticking birds as far as I have ever seen a dog point. I was able to shoot a double of chukars over Bry and she was steady through it all. Mater had an exceptional point and retrieve on a Hun.
Every dog has it's day and today they had their Game On.
#5 Chukar found his way into a deep rock crevice and I could not reach him. I may need to start carrying one of those 6 foot long claw thingies.

The second kick from a mule is of very little educational value - from Wing and Shot.

Really not that cold the last couple of days.
Temp had to be in the 40's somewhere. The snow was melting and I hunted in a light sweater pullover.

Cracking looking dogs and sounds like they are coming on well for you.
Good luck with the pups.

Yeah, Temp was 8 degrees this morning at 7:30. Pretty sure it was colder yesterday but I did not look.
