milnor north dakota area

Post by dugger13 » Wed Aug 24, 2011 9:36 am

Anyone hunt pheasants around that area, i have the chance to go out with some guys and stay at their place. They are die hard duck hunters. i am toying with the idea of going out on my own and just go pheasant hunting with the dogs while they sky blast the ducks. I have access to the land they are on, plus i see that their is a national grassland area close by called the cheyenne. Is it any good around the milnor area?

It used to be...reports I've heard on pheasant broods have been poor to horrible. There is so much water down there it's tough to even believe until you've seen it for yourself.

My advice would be to join your buddies and shoot some ducks. You'll probably have a better time anyway.

And yes, the Sheyenne National Grasslands are north of Milnor a ways. Check the regs for hunting laws specific to the area...
