Northeastern New Mexico Grouse
Does anyone have any insight on grouse hunting in NE New Mexico? Are there any public lands worth hunting? Are there enough birds to keep you interested? I'd like to plan a trip next year and the internet doesn't seem to have a lot. Any comments, suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The northeastern part of the state does have grouse. But, you find them in high altitudes; start at 8,500 and go higher. I have seen them in the Sangre de Cristos but have never hunted them there. I go elsewhere.

Very cool blog. Makes me homesick, I use to live in Aztec and fish the San Juan a couple times a week.
