Wild birds on IL public land

Post by crewzm » Thu Nov 17, 2011 6:18 pm

There are still wild pheasants in IL, even on walk in public land. You just have to be willing to walk and walk and walk some more. 5 hours (45 min. of which was looking for the downed bird) 11 flushes (9 hens 2 roosters), 3 points, and one pointed bird in the bag. The first ever rooster bagged over Maya's point. It was a good good day.
