pheasant hunting in WA

Post by deke » Thu Jan 26, 2012 10:46 am

Does anybody know of any good pheasant hunting areas in Washington? We have 10,000 acres near Sprague that we are going to hunt this year, just not sure what to expect?

HaHa I used to hunt them around Colfax when I was younger but we lost our spot when the old man passed and his kid took over. Switched to duck hunting after that and, now it is back to pheasant hunting. So i was really wondering what the bird population is like for that area?

Like I said good. Check the upland regs, they break down numbers of birds by county's.

Not good, just checked the regs and it said only 1700 birds were harvested in that county last year. I figured it would be good but the regs are telling a different story

Your right, Sprague is not the best spot these days....no cover left, they plant from road edge to road edge....you need to be looking in the Dayton-asotin area for the best pheasant hunting these days
