Need Advice On Grouse Dog

I am looking to acquire a pointer for hunting grouse, primarily in Michigan and need some advice on selecting a breed then a breeder, preferably reasonably close to NW Ohio.

Do you plan on hunting anything other than grouse? Will the dog be in the house or kenneled outside? How much time do you have to exercise him/her everyday? Find a breed that meets the characteristics you desire, then find a reputable breeder.

I hunt preserve pheasants in Ohio and grouse and woodcock in Michigan

French Brittanies are hard to beat for grouse dogs and you can do some duck hunting with them too. They take to grouse hunting real quick in my experience.

On here Mark Dinsmore has great dogs. Don't know how to spell the kennel name L'Etoulie de Nord or something. Mark You need to name your kennel something simple.
