Cant wait for 16 days for the opener of Grouse! Just wanted to share my excitement!

I know how you feel. I have had had NOTHING but our opener on my mind for the last 3 weeks. Our ruffed season opens in 23 days, and it can't get here fast enough for me. Early season hunting around here is always tough with all of the leaves on the trees and the brush still standing, but it's still a chance to get on wild birds.

I am ready as well to start poundin the woods and swamps! Otto needs a few more multiple hour runs to bring him up to descent condition but the timing should be pretty good.....I think because of the lack of precip in the areas I hunt we'll have an early leave drop...most maples are already red/yellow
