Utah grouse hunt

Post by willt » Sun Sep 09, 2012 7:42 pm

We I have had rhe pleasure of getting out quite a bit hunting grouse this season already, been doing well but yesterday was by far one of the best wild bird hunts I have been on, we had great dog work, good company. The weather was perfect, great terrain makes for a recipe for awsome hunting. Hope y'all enjoy. We were rewarded for all our hard work climbing up and down the thick, steep terrain.

Pretty stuff.
I love seeing the pix of all the scenic terrain. My region is one, big cornfield.

Those birds sure make you work for them, don't they? Great start to the season!
Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

Yes they do we put on the miles that day that's forsure, but it was well worth the hike and hard work with the dogs . I am very happy with how the season has gone so far, about half way through the day i thought we were going to lose my buddies dog. It kills me that people don't condition there dogs before hunting season and expect them to go all day. He turned to me and said i can't believe your dogs r still going hard. I just looked at him and laughed said I've been getting the dogs ready since last fall conditioning.
