Todays Pheasant hunt

Ok Ok, so we didnt actually make the opener. We were fortunate to have Baja's breeder from Germany stop by and visit us for a couple of days. So we missed the opener. But Jim and I were able to sneak away today and chase some of Iowa Ringnecks.
No need for a long drawn out story. We could have shot our limits twice. But we chose to only shoot points and we were able to stick to it. We did have a couple of points where we dropped the ball. There were also a lot of hen points.
Baja, 5 months old, was able to get her first point on a wild Iowa Pheasant. That to me was the highlight.

Congrats M. Can't wait to get together. Glad you got Baja's hunt and first wild phez on video. I lucked out and got Brandi's on video too, and I enjoy rewatching it as time goes on. Nothing like watching pups cut their teeth on wild birds.
