SW Morning Quail Hunt

Post by buff » Mon Feb 04, 2013 7:08 pm

Worked off nites and me and Della made a short round this am. We scattered a covey of bird in the woods and found tow singles before I had to get some sleep. Della did a nice job of holding her birds. She's only 14 months of age and I'm very proud of her. thanks for looking, mike

Getting a pup into birds at that age is critical. You look like you are off to a great start.

Nice looking pup! Looks like she is doing great. That cover looks like some of the stuff we hunt in here. Those wild birds know exactly where to go.

Good lookin pup, I wish we could have gotten together! Did you ever call? I am back in Wis now but I did experience some of that "SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY" Northern Cajun and MrCreole had me picking blackberry thorns from places I didn't know I had!! We had some excellent dog work, we killed a few woodcock and quail, and made some plans for a northern Ruffed Grouse trip next Oct.
