Grouse! picture

Post by ruffbritt4 » Sat Nov 16, 2013 5:21 pm

Today we went on the dogs first grouse hunt. The first bird got up and I missed. Then I missed the next bird. Both birds the dog set right in front of me in the open. On the third grouse, my dad made a great shot through the cover and the bird went down. The dog then found the dead bird and made a great retrieve. We put a couple more birds up and there were more misses, but we had a great day, and managed to get a bird. We moved 7 birds in 2 hours.

Thanks, I am mounting the fan and putting his old i.d tag on the wooden part. The fan is drying and pinned now.
