This past weekend, I had the privilege of hunting WMA land courtesy of the game warden lottery hunt program, Thought I should share a few pictures:

Looks like you had a lot of success, I'm really thinking about getting into waterfowl hunting since the upland game in and around my area is so poor. Not sure how my shorthair would do in the cold water though.

definitely a great time for me & my 3 buddies who came along. it was about 55 degrees that morning with water temp also in the 50s, & my shorthair didn't want to stand around in the water that's for sure!

a guy i know has a shorthair with a lot longer hair than mine, & his dog loves cold water. so i think it just depends on the breeding as to whether the dog will be useless in cold water or love it. either way, a shorthair owner needs to be real careful in the cold water as their coats don't insulate nearly as well as more typical duck dogs like a lab, chessie, or boykin
