He'll mainly be used for dove hunting and maybe a few random duck trips.

He's an English Cocker Spaniel. Well all of the top pictures are. Liver is the mother, "Spice". Black is the Dad, "Cash". Those two I bought for my parents to use on their Southern Style Quail Hunts. They both came from Covey Flush Kennels in Sasser, GA. Great breeder. Seen tons of his dogs working. Chris Lizou is the breeders name. Spice had nine pups, four Black, four liver, and one liver roan "Hank". He is 4 and a half months. Couldn't resist the coloring so now I have another dog. I would never pick a dog on coloring but more on hunt ability, but knowing both parents I might get best of both worlds. Weird, but their is a liver roan on his pedigree a couple of generations back. Genetics are cool. He was liver and white when he was born. No ticking. Kept calling my Mom saying he's getting more spots. Between the farm manager and my brothers and parents we have seven English Cockers. We have kind of gone nuts for them. They are sensitive, intelligent and will listen to you. Makes for a great trainable dog. All of ours spend time in a kennel when hunting but all go home with owners and live in their house as family dogs. Hunting machines. We used to ride around shooting quail for the bag, but now we shoot them just so we can watch the Cockers. They are used mostly on quail in Alabama but I intend to proper train Hank for ducks, dove, quail, etc.

This is Sprig, my 14 month old springer. He's having a pretty good first season on all kinds of birds. Good thread idea!
