Post by coonhunter4912 » Wed Jan 22, 2014 1:11 am

I have a F&L frequency tracker with tree switch,im used to the garmin but had to sell it.
Could anybody give me information on how to read this tracker and how to use it?

I have never owned one, but I have seen people use them. You use the unit by slowly moving the antenna in an arc until you hear the beep, then slowly reduce the size of the arc until the antenna is pointing directly at the collar. Your dog is in line with the antenna, there is no reliable way to tell how far. I don't think the tree switch is going to help you any. My understanding is that the tree switch is activated by the dog looking up, and tilting the collar up.
