Jumped one trout fishing this wknd, got the dog later and put up same bird that flew back across river or another one that was with him. Probably local birds have seen them here before. No shooting in the park. i did take the dog lower for an hour jaunt and no luck with the gun.

Put up seven with 4 good points tonight in an hour and a half. Killed two with poor shooting. The flights are starting with the recent cold. Dog was still tired after a marathon of 6 hours walking yesterday for 2 coveys. Alot more action than the local quail hunting. next 10 days should be good. I did better on the higher ground as well. Birds were jumpy so I took the bell off the dog and he did better.
Good Luck
