North Dakota Pheasants

Post by dugger13 » Mon Oct 27, 2014 1:15 pm

A last minute change had me canceling a trip to South Dakota and moving 1 state north for a 3 day pheasant hunt. We had a great time

My usual trips to South Dakota were always with bigger groups. Driving corn, dog work was always not great, but numbers of birds were high. This last trip was far more prefered. We had 5 guys, walked about 10 miles each day. Climbed hills, and dropped down to valleys and creeks. Most of the corn was still in, but starting to come out fast.
My wirehair did great. We ended up with 30 birds, 3 of them sharptails. Almost all roosters were on points which was great to see. Here are some of the trip photos.
