What's in your vest?

Post by PA_Sportsman » Tue Sep 07, 2004 12:48 pm

Since fall is almost upon us, I figured I'd start a thread to see what everyone carries in their vest.

I carry:

EMT Gel
small first aid kit
2 water bottles
Flush counter & journal
oversized band aids
small or disposable camera
extra socks
extra shells
Pro Plan Performance bars

Well this is embarrassing:
The contents of my truck tool box could outfit a Boy Scout Camp:
Chainsaw,
A universal "Master Key" (Bolt cutters),
machete, axe, sledge hammer, hack saw,
rope, come-a-long, 50ft of log chain, crow-bar,
first aid kit,
fix-a-flat, starting fluid, WD-40, oil,
2 extra shot guns, shells for every gun i own,
GPS, compass
battery drill, socket set, other misc tools, screws, nails etc..
fly rod, spinning rod, trout net, trout vest,
spare clothes, jackets, sleeping bag, boots, and a ton of other stuff.
But when i leave the truck and go hunting all i carry is:
extra shells,
a whistle,
a wonder lead,
e-collar/locate transmitter
and some krazy glue gel

Decoy must drive a mack truck!

I used to carry lots of stuff like that when we lived out West, but have limited it down to fit into a one ton truck now. The EMT gel always goes along with water and a small first aid kit and compass, no GPS yet....

The Purina energy bars are good, heck we had several people at our last HRC test eat them for breakfast prior to reading the label...
Happy hunting.
