Does anyone hunt bobwhites using a quail call? I often wonder if this would be helpful after a covey flushes. Are they easy to use? Bobwhites.

They can be useful to locate birds but usually takes around 20 minutes after the flush, and if they know you are in the area they will not whistle back if they can hear you or your dogs. I simply whistle back and that seems to be as effective as a call.
