Opening day luck continues

Well my opening day luck continues. Tues I went out looking for dusky grouse and found none and it was hotter than blazes. Today a buddy and I went out into the desert east of town to hunt a guzzler for doves. We went out last week and the drinker on the guzzler was full and doves were piling in so we figured it was a shoe in for the opener. When we got up there this morning the drinker was dry. Cows had busted in and drank it dry. We hunted for an hour and got one dove. It wasn't a total bust however we went to another guzzler that was still full mid morning and got a few. We'd have gotten more if our shooting was better. I hope my opener luck gets better or I might end up going for a swim for the duck opener.

A bad day of hunting's better than a good day at work though!
