Nevada chuckar

One more off my bucket list at 75. Me and the pup spent 4 days of hunting in northern nevada. Lots of lava cliffs full of chuckar. Had lots of good points but with my old out of breath body, no limits. The cliffs were only about 900 ft above the spring on the valley floor. We needed more hunters to keep the birds moving. My Brittany held up nicely and we did find on nice covey of valley quail. Did limit on them.

Oldbeek, I spent 8 yrs chasing chukars in N. Nevada when I worked for the BLM there. Limits were obtained but not very often. It is definitely hard on the body. I also loved to chase valley quail. I'm glad you got the opportunity.
