New here also.
Pure bird hunter. Would love to run some but work and time of year prevent it.
Love any dog that does his job well. Run GSP right now but could just as easy have a Britt or English Pointer.
Quail are my home birds, but travel more every year to hunt other birds.

1) Not particularly
2) I make mistakes....and basically, a birdhunter.
3) Time, Possession Limits, Weariness, Weather, Obligations, Health.....the list goes on.
Best experience?
Taking GBE's Dog, Gun and Time Enough to heart and understanding being there......it's best to have that experience each time out.
Question...who be "WE"?

I thinks if you have hunted your necessary meat already then you shouldn't waste some more life only for your pleasure. What you think?

As tasty and healthy as wild birds are to eat, I'm not sure I've ever killed my "necessary" meat. I never waste a bird. It is wonderful table fare.

I thinks the winds of obviousness have blown away the remnants of the smoke shrouding your initial post in this thread.David_Wilson wrote:I thinks if you have hunted your necessary meat already then you shouldn't waste some more life only for your pleasure. What you think?

Re: Bird Hunters are here.
Bird hunting is my favorite pastime. A lot of people don't realize how amazing they are. I got some decoys this summer for steal and I can't wait to try them out.
