Potter Co., PA Grouse hunt

Here are some pics from our hunt last week in Potter County, PA.

First grouse of the week

Thursday's success

Had total of 15 grouse flushes or reflushes over 3 days as well as 9 pheasant flushes. We hunted about 2 - 2.5 hours per day.

We ended up with 5 pheasants and 3 grouse.

Thanks Grant. It was a blast. For being a down year, I can't complain with the grouse numbers we got into. Those cuts of birch / beech are only going to get better once the colder weather gets here. Lots of wintergreen, buds and catkins for the birds to feed on.
