One makes it worth while

Post by ACooper » Tue Dec 18, 2007 5:00 pm

I finally got out of the food service bus, and now have a job where I get vacation that I can use WOW what a novel idea.

Anyway I was out with my father, cousin and another friend in north central OK today chashing some roosters around. Saw lots of birds most, got out ahead of us today (bad planning, ha). I did manage to get one and missed another, the limit in OK is two, as we continued to hunt I realized after all the past few years of missing hunts and mainly missing out I realized how just one bird makes it all worth while.

I have been lucky enough this year to make several trips to hunt different areas and just spend a lot of days in the field with dogs and my dad, and season isnt even half over yet.

Congrats on the bird. A bird in the bag is better than two in the bush.

you are absolutely right. not only the one bird, but the chance to get out with good ole dad, more than likely he may not be able to go forever, really cherish being with him. it sounds like life is looking up for you and i am glad to hear it. merry christmas, and stay on the birds.

Good for you! It takes courage to change your situation like that so that you have an opportunity to enjoy life more.

Congrats. Enjoy the time with your dad. I wish I had done more to enjoy the time my dad and I had but fate didn't allow it. Go everytime you can.
