Got a new shotgun!

Post by EddieF » Fri Feb 13, 2009 10:58 pm

Well, it's used, but it's hardly been shot! A Winchester Platinum Select and I can't wait to shoot it! I might hit the skeet range this weekend. But I just love this thing. It will be most worthy to shoot Winnie's first bird whenever that happens. We have a lot of training to do before then, but at least I got a pretty gun to go with my pretty dog!

Very nice! I often think a used gun is a better value than new - closer to the true value of the gun. It's hard for me to tell from the photos - what gauge is it?

It's a 12 gauge, with 28" barrels.

It has the Invector Plus chokes that extend beyond the end of the barrel. I can see how that's convenient, not needing a tool in the field. But I can get flush ones that will fit that, right?

Sure can - if you're not hung up on buying OEM tubes, I'd recommend http://www.choketube.com

Thanks! It's worth mentioning, I'm such a Winchester fan that I named my dog Winnie!!
