Help CZ Mallard or Benelli Nova 20

Does anyone know anything about the CZ Mallard shotgun. I really like the look of the Mallard with the double triggers, classic looking shotgun.Then you have a three shot Nova.I can't make up my mind!!! This will be my quail gun

I have the CZ ring neck and really like it. It is a good looking gun, light and balanced well. The nova is a good gun, but IMO, the CZ will give you more enjoyment and pleasure.

The Nova is a bit of club but it will shoot for years and years. You can buy the same Huglu gun as the Mallard for a bit less money from TRI Imports. Huglu makes the guns for CZ. For the same money you might be able to get the Huglu 103-D, which is the CZ Redhead.

No issue with the CZ/Huglu guns. I have a 20 gauge Redhead that I use quite often for skeet.

I jsut found this review.It's 31 pages long. The last page states:Shot some clays today after feeding the deer some apples, shot 90 through the Canvasback for a total round count of 12,161 with ZERO problems. For what I have invested in this gun it is turning into a real bargain.

The Nova 20 has the same action/stock as the 12. No real advantage in going with the 20 in that gun as it is going to handle just like the 12.

I bought the Mallard. Hope you use it in the So. Cal NSTRA Oct. 10th
