What would you guys suggest as a brand and load for pheasants in a 16 gauge? Where would you buy them?

I've settled on Winchester Super-X High Brass with 1-1/8oz of #6. This load patterns well out of all of my 16 gauge guns, and I use it for pretty much everything all season long.

The Fiocchi Golden Pheasant in #5 also works fine, and I sometimes use it for a follow up shot.

I shoot and favor the Golden Phez. I find them at Gander Mtn without much problem, however I'm not looking forward to seeing how much they may run this year.

Finding 16 ga here is a chore. I recommend that you reload them. Then you'll only have trouble finding wads! I like 1oz loads of #6 shot.

Reloading can be done chea,,,,inexpensively. Lee Load All in 16 ga is under $50. I've used it in 12 ga and 20 ga. Makes good hunting loads.

I have a MEC Sizemaster for relaoding 16's. I get my 16 ga wads from Ballistic Products. You could also go check out www.16ga.com for everything 16 gauge related.

This is what I use as well. I wish I could find some 5 shot.
