Benelli Vinci or Benelli M2.

Then your other gun will be the back up!

As you intentionally provided no information about what you might use this back-up gun for, just go to the nearest Wal-Mart that carries guns, close your eyes, have someone spin the carousel, point to the case and get the synthetic stocked gun closest to the direction indicated by your finger.

I guess you could also put a synthetic stock on most any modern gun if you wanted to.

I would do that if Walmart or "bleep" carried guns in NJ...anyway good point, I only shoot upland and trap/skeet...probably will get a Nova because of price.

Stoeger went back, at least the pieces I could find, still got a benelli 20gauge. These are the guns I let my guests use when they come hunt at my estate.

For the most part it is. The guts are basically the same. Cosmetically it's slightly different.

I have an old Remington 1100 Special Field in 12 gauge. I fitted it with a regular 1100 synthetic stock and modified the forarm to fit. I use it when I have to run a NASTRA brace in the rain.
