Mossberg 930

Post by ohiohuntinweim » Sun Jan 31, 2010 8:34 pm

Any thoughts on this gun?

My O/U turned into a blank gun this weekend...I want to get into ducks and geese (plus the upland i already do) and am thinking Semi auto might fit both apps. Then later pick up a better quality o/u or SxS to handle the bulk of the upland work. I'd like to stay in the 600 to 750 dollar range.

THanks
Jeremy

They seem like good guns, I chose the Stoeger 2000 over the mossberg. Just personal preference though.

I shoot a Mossberg 935 and love it...Use it mainly for waterfowl...Never had a jam or any issues...PLUS makes a great boat paddle...BUT the only issue is mine wont cycle 2 3/4's..Im told if you break it in a certain way it will...

See if you can find a Browning Gold Hunter. I got mine used but in as new condition for less than you're talking and it's solid as a rock, feels great and looks good too. It shoots everything from the lightest target loads through the heaviest 3" mags with no problem. Easy to clean and take care of, too.
