They are my favorite gun in that price range. 2nd would be Beretta and 3rd is Browning. Franchi for the money are fantastic guns, i would recommend you have a look at them. Anyway the reason i would choose CG over a Beretta is that they have a deeper blueing and better ingraving for the money. I also prefer the Prince of Whales stocks over the Berettas, but that is just personal preference. Overall though Beretta is of the same quality with the exception of blueing and engraving. Give them all a go and find the one that fits you best. Its hard to find a salesman who knows who to truely fit a person for a shotgun imo. Good luck,
