Re: Cz shotguns
I've got a couple CZ shotguns. One a CZ redhead o/u 12ga I like it well enough but shoot a 20ga most of the time. I also have a 720 auto I like ALOT. I'm in the market for either a bobwhite in 20ga or a redhead in 20.

A limit on the strap is nice, but the kill has nothing to do with tradition.

I've had a 28ga Ringneck for about 5yrs. It's become my favorite

Re: Cz shotguns
They're fine, I've had five of the huglu manufactured CZ, and DeHaan branded guns. A mallard OU in 12 ga, a Dehaan OU in 12 ga, a 28 ga OU, Ringneck sxs in 28ga that I swapped for a double trigger Bobwhite also in 28 ga. They're all gone now that I found an older Spanish made 16 ga sxs that fit me perfect.
Re: Cz shotguns
I have a Huglu that I picked up overseas about 15 yrs ago. O/U 20 with 26 inch tubes. It's my quail gun. I love how it points and its lightweight as well.
Re: Cz shotguns
I own a CZ Bobwhite SxS in 28ga. with 26" barrels.........
LOVE IT !! It's the gun I'm always shooting unless my son is with me, then it's his to shoot.
I haven't had a problem with it yet and the level of craftsmanship is superior for a SxS priced under $1000.

May all your dog's points be productive & your arrows avoid all timber
Re: Cz shotguns
I've had.....a Bobwhite, Upland ultralight, SxS upland (special run), and Woodcock. All worked as advertised.
PSA: DO NOT SELL ANYTHING TO "MRCREOLE", HE WILL RIP YOU OFF, JUST LIKE HE HAS RIPPED ME OFF (I will not edit this signature until I am paid by him)
Re: Cz shotguns
My next shotgun will be a CZ bobwhite 20 ga with 28" barrels.

I do like my CZ Redhead 28ga 28inbbls. Clays, doves and soon grouse and woodcock! A good value for a extra gun to own and shoot!
I'm 100% in favor of LGBT - Liberty, Guns, Bacon and Trump.

Re: Cz shotguns
how about the cz canvasback, any thoughts?
Re: Cz shotguns
I've got a CZ Bobwhite in .410 - I do not hunt w/it but rather just shoot clays - Have had it for 7/8 yrs, never any trouble w/it. It doesn't fit me all that well. (Average build)
Not the best build quality (not exactly horrible either).. it represents an UNBELIEVABLE value and is a really fun little gun - I do suggest two triggers no matter the choice in model. Definitely would not be a bad choice for a field gun in a 28ga thru 12ga but I would never wing shoot w/a .410 (Opinions vary, just not the choice for me)

Re: Cz shotguns
I have had some nice 12 gauge O/U and had always wanted a 20 gauge. I dint want to spend the money that it would take to get a Browning or a Beretta. Finally settled on a Canvasback and figured it would be a niche type gun, just used occasionally. It has become my go to gun for all my wing shooting with the exception of waterfowl. Gun is built well, finished well, reliable and one of the best shooting shotguns I've ever owned.
I give the Canvasback two big thumbs ups!!

Re: Cz shotguns
I've owned two Bobwhites sxs in 28 ga. The first one I returned after one season for doubling (both barrels going off at once). CZ Customer Service promptly replaced it with another. The second one I returned after one season for losing the bluing on the barrels. This time CZ replaced it with a Ringneck sxs in 28 ga. Thankfully no problems with it in several seasons. It is my go-to gun for grouse and early season pheasant. I can't say it's my favorite gun to shoot (I also have my grandather's Churchill XXV), but it is my favorite gun to carry. I am very happy with the Ringneck and I liked the Bobwhites. I think CZ/ Huglu makes an excellent gun at a certain price point, plus their customer service was very good. I just would have preferred not having to use customer service on the first two guns.
I also have a Dehaan in 12 ga. with which I've had no problems.
