My 5 yr old springer spaniel just had her first limp tail problem this November after a day of hunting hard in the rain. She seems to have the start of it again today but really hasn't done any work, just a walk in the light rain today? Kinda weird. Metacam and rest has worked so I gave her a shot of meds this morn.
Some things I read say even a change in the weather may give a dog imp tail. Has anyone else had a funny experience with dead tail? Naturally my springer is high energy and has been wagging like crazy the past couple days that doesn't help.

I would bet it has nothing to do with the weather - just an unlikely second round.

Sprained tail. Had it many times. They wag their tails so much that they become sore.
