Puppy Question
Puppy Question
I will be getting a 8 week old Brittany puppy in a few weeks and have a couple of questions. I normally walk my mini aussie on two 3 mile walks per day, at what age will the puppy be able to handle this safety? How long of a walk will she be able to handle at this young of an age?
Thank you
Thank you

Re: Puppy Question
At 8 weeks I let my pups be pups- didn't start any of that for awhile longer.
Re: Puppy Question
Thanks for the reply, I'll wait on taking her on walks. I know she will probably be upset not getting to go when the mini aussie goes, but she will just need to stay home.
Re: Puppy Question
You can always walk the pup till it gets tired, pick it up and walk home.

Re: Puppy Question
I think in terms of minutes and let the pup free run in a safe place. Having said that, I watch the pup and when I see them slowing down and walking beside me cut the run off right their. I wouldn't run my pup until it has had his puppy shots.

Re: Puppy Question
I've done that many times, often with a couple in my jacket, a couple in pockets, and two in my hands.Sharon wrote:Now there's a creative idea.mask wrote:You can always walk the pup till it gets tired, pick it up and walk home.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
