I was wondering...
Do all of you carry a first aid kit on you or in the truck? What do you carry for cuts or bleeding? Seems like a lot of my buddies have been having accidents with their dogs lately

Re: first aid kit
Hemostats to pull out cactus and quills, vet wrap, none stick gauze pads, and antihistamine are always in my vest.

Re: first aid kit
Truck kit: 1 or 2 boots for a torn paw(s), wrappable gauze, Ace bandage, vet wrap, a non stinging disinfectant like hydrogen peroxide, and an old clean sheet to thoroughly wrap a dog in. The sheet is pretty invaluable for keeping a torn up dog in one piece, keeping dirt out of wounds, staunching blood loss, etc.
Definitely want a hemostat or needle nose pliers in your pocket. Metal toothed combs work great if you're hunting cactus ground.

first aid kit
Needle nose, gauze, pressure dressing, neosporin, small bottle of peroxide. I also have some 2"x12" strips of old t-shirt cut up for splinting.
