Switched to Black Gold

Post by 12 Volt Man » Wed Nov 17, 2004 1:29 pm

Alright I have been a fan of Diamond feed for some time now. I still like it.On a whim I switched last night to Black Gold. It is all TAK’s fault. ;) Also after reading the info on the back of the Black Gold bag, I started adding hot water to Cowboy’s food to soften it up. I bet he likes the warm meal now that it is colder. I may even do this for Cooper too.

I also switched to Black Gold on Friday. The dog seems to really like it and from what I can tell less c**p to clean up. I will have to try the hot water thing, sounds like a good idea in this cold weather.

When you warm up their food, make sure you give it to them right away or the bacteria will start and then you'll be in for some fun. :(

I like adding some nuked meat or nuked canned food mix in. But I pick it up if they don't eat it all. Not very often when it's cold outside. ( It will be 42f tonight and 59f during the day tommorrow brrrr.) 8)

I wish it was that "cold" here...it was 18 last night and a high of 32 today.

The thing I am concerned about with moistened food is keeping the teeth clean. They do like it though.I havent ever tried it but the nuking sounds like it might be a better alternitive.

Oh it was 15 this morning with about 2 inches of snow. Rush is like a kid and loves to play in it. Think we will try to find some birds this afternoon.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

I'm glad you're getting it and not us...but it'll be gone within the next day or so...

This is my first Carolina Thanksgiving...and instead of maroon and orange leaves ('cause God is a Hokie  ) and a fire, it is 70 degrees outside.

We're being defiant and having a fire anyway. Even if the dogs are panting, we're sweating and the house catches fire, darnit, Thanksgiving is fire time!!
