Hair Loss

Post by sfellc » Wed Mar 04, 2009 4:16 pm

I have noticed in the last couple months my springers are losing more hair than normal. Their crates are covered, a ride in the truck leaves it all over the seats and my clothes. My Vet said the oldest had dry skin(4), so have been bathing him with a different shampoo, and his fur seemed more like a wire hair. Their chests seem to be getting thinner as well. I have fed pro plan perfromance from may to december. My pro recently switched from pro plan to native, and I did them same to keep them on the same diet no matter where they are staying. Might this cure the problem, or any suggestions?

Shedding increases as the length of daylight ( amount of light increases). Your situation does sound excessive though.
