I got mine down on a Thursday, the following weekend (9 days later) she was back at full stride. The vet told me not to let her run for too long and to keep an eye on her. I made her take it easy on Saturday but Sunday I let her decide when she had enough.

From having multiple rescues plus some of our own done- we found that the key to quick healing is making sure you keep them quiet the first few days after surgery. It's a pain but if you keep them crated, walks only, no jumping on furniture, etc. the first few days it seems the healing process is quick and easy. When we've gotten lax about it is when we've had issues with healing. Kristi
