Can a female be wormed during her pregnancy, and if so--up to what week?

I worm with panacur about 5 weeks into preagnancy. I also use monthly ivomec regardless of what stage of pregnancy.

Does worming the mother during pregnancy and after birth eliminate the need to work the puppies while they are feeding off the mother?

No. I worm mother and puppies at 2 weeks old. Then worm pups every 2/3 weeks until I start them on Ivomec.

I have found if you have the dam worm free you won't have worm problems with the pups. But you need to have the stools checked or worm them at 4 to 6 weeks to make sure everything is good.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Panacur is a safe bet. It works at any stage of pregnancy. All the best!

All it takes is for one pup to get a worm while running in the yard or pasture, then they all get them.
